Three Missing People
It has been reported to us that there are three missing persons within the city.
Nee Daxeline reports to us that her spouse is has been missing for 2days. This report was filed 5 days ago. No photo is available to us. Though there have been brief sightings, those involved have noted Vog to not be acting himself. If any have further information or sightings, please contact Miss Nee with details.
Missing Dancers
Two of the dancers from the Theatre de Back Alley, Miss Erin and Miss Synergy, have not returned to work since the Masquerade ball. They had been seen privately entertaining a white haired gentleman that night, and unfortunately neither he nor they have been sighted since. If you have any information, please contact one of the managers, Pip Zarad. (again no photos available.
*When filing missing persons reports it does to help to have a recent photo of these individuals.

London According to Pip
“Fire Safety and Population Influx”
I myself am getting just a bit annoyed at the increase in pyromaniacal activity lately. Just a word of predictive observation: if your home or place of business has not gone up in flames, then either you’re the perpatrator or you’re soon to be the next victim. The strangest thing, really, is that it appears the burnings are not all related to each other. According to one source, the strange man associated with the CoC (who so graciously donated a box of ravenous, giant rats to the newspaper office) encouraged the unbalanced minds of a few Malkavalians to tip over the edge and spill a little destruction around town. Whether or not all the fires have been set for similar purposes, I cannot tell. As far as my research as gone, some instances, at least, appear to be unrelated. Is there a fire demon lighting little matches in people’s minds that I don’t know about? I don’t think I’ll be lighting my fireplace tonight, no matter how frigid it gets.
On a bit more cheerful note, I’ve noticed a sudden influx of visitors to our city. After speaking with a few sailors and some dockyard workers I found that vessels are coming in more frequently and the demand for goods has increased. I was not able to find out what, if anything, has become so highly demanded of late or why our city might be growing more popular, but with all the strange happenings there is little doubt we’ve become quite the freakshow. In any case, I was told there is a great need for more loaders at the dock as well as those willing to take short trips to surrounding ports and transfer shipments. If you take the job, perhaps you will be kind enough to let me know a little more about the cargo if you get a chance.

London’s Police Force
Since the sheriff threw his badge in the fire of the church ruins, many of us were not aware there was anyone that could or would replace him. But it has come to our attention the station is staffed and operating and we would like to welcome
Police Chief - Fal Levasseur
Also staffing the force are his wife, Morganna, and Shyles. London Legacies Gazette editor - Nisha Rayna would like to apologize to Ms. Morganna for confusing her name last week with another individual, Ms. Morgdah who does a storytime event at the tavern.
Last weekend the Chief and his wife came by the paper office and gave us to information to pass on to the citizens.
A little more about Police Chief Fal
Hailing from a place called Rivet town where they served as officers together on the force there, they have come to help bring justice here to the city. They have made their home outside the city and have a young daughter, Celestae Marialla Levasseur.
Those wishing to help in the police force please see enclosed application

A little about Ms. Dasha Steampunk
Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is Dasha Vondraczech and if you have not seen my perky self in person or on stage well now is your chance to get to know me a little better. A well rounded type; I have seen much of the world due to a life of a traveling performer, from the far east to America and just recently settled down here in lovely London. A jack of all trades so to speak, but my passion is in front of a crowd bringing joy and amusement to others. I love to talk and love to listen even more, but I warn you, say something interesting and you just might be reading about it later on. Got gossip? Let me know, the juicier the better!
There are still many reporters and staff needed please stop by the Gazette for applications and iformation.

As Reported by Magdalnamarie Connaught on April 23, 1891
The MisChief of police.
There has been a recent crime wave to spread our fair roads. But shall we fear? Why, when we have such capable hands to rest our tired heads in. Yes, our police team is ever at the ready to come to the aid of those who need it, to keep our lives safe, if not our front doors.
Police Chief Falassalond Levasseur.
This is the man we entrust our streets to. This is the man we sleep at night, trusting to keep us alive to wake up in the morning. But i ask you, is this the right man for the job?
Example one: Fire in the warehouse.
Even though our good police chief was only a block away, he did not see the fire. Though he did smell it. I guess we can thank him for his canine sense of smell. If not for him being able to locate the sent of burning building a block away, who knows the devastation we may be facing. Off at the speed of light, Falassalond rushes to save the day, but does he go alone? Of course not, that would be foolish. He enlists the help of the Late Erik, and a Red Dragon. With no meaning to offend the Dragon Race, why would you bring one to help put OUT a fire?
Example two: Chaos outside the station.
While it become a sudden trend to start swinging fists outside the station, the police chief was busy chasing down “suspected” criminals, and busting down peoples front doors to get them. But lets keep in mind, he doesn’t remember much from that evening.
Perhaps, while we rest our eyes from a long day, the police chief rests his Cares about all of us.

Masquerade at the Theatre
A wonderful time once again had my many within our city. It was a night of costumes, dancing, drinking and friends. Proving to be one of the most celebrated places in the city, the theatre has many events that draw the crowds. Under the management of Lord Mystyk and Lady Di, the theatre seems to be florishing. Welcoming all within the city, the theatre is a unique treat to all that come through the doors.

Re Grand Opening at the Theatre de Back Alley
article by Aerial photos curtsey of Bungo
A great time was had by all. The re-grand opening drew quite a varied crowd to the city, Plenty of conversation, drinking, dancing, and ladies offered hours of entertainment. The Theatre offers a wide variety of entertainment including tarot card readings and massages. Mystyk and Dy did a wonderful job with the theatre and its new decor. Walking in we received a warm greeting from the gracious hosts and made our way around to the many friends present. The performances by the ladies on stage did not go unnoticed. The bar attracted quiet a bit of attention as well, offering most anything anyone could think of ordering. The theatre is sure to be a busy place with all it has to offer, drink, ladies, dancing, and more, your imagination is the only limit. London has long been in need of such entertainment, ambiance, and class.

Recent Fires at the BURLESQUE TEA ROOMS
The recent fire was reported this week and if you remember on April 3, in the late hours of the night, someone set fire to the door of the newspaper office while three people were inside. Naya, Pip, and Nis all were able to get out with slight injuries once Bungo was able to take in most of the flames with Pip putting out the rest. It was reported many bystanders on the street just stood around even though calls for help were issued. Lord Bungo is issuing a reward for information leading to the capture of person or persons responsible for the blaze. Is there any connection between this fire and the one following…..
London According to Pip
“What Tea May Come”
I hope you are not all shocked to hear that the new tea room, in all actuality, does serve tea. After what a couple sources told me about the place, I wasn’t so sure. Many of these places are a mere excuse for the relinquishing of clothing from the female form. I am afraid that London’s brutish side loudly voices its testosterone-induced urges to the point of drowning out the likes of Shakespeare and Voltaire. The proprietor of the tea house seems to be a realist. While she is trained in the high class of theatre, the need to survive and make a living rears its homely head and has lead Miss Julianna Wilde to include … somewhat baser forms of entertainment. Our interview was done in the sitting room around a tray of tea. The room is richly decorated in deep reds and rather provocative paintings. Another lady, Miss Dasha Vondraczech (looking for a job as a dancer) was also with us at the time.
[11:10] Pip Zarad: “So Juls, tell me more about your vision for this place.”
[11:11] Dasha Vondraczech looks between the two of them with a simple endearing smile and nods in silence as she listens intently giving both speakers her attention.
[11:11] Julianna Wilde: “oh yes indeed I hope we will always work together I am very flexiable”
[11:11] Pip Zarad grins.
[11:12] Julianna Wilde: “well it has always been my dream to have my own theatre but it seems the general public in these parts do not have the stomach for Shakespeare and the like and we all have to earn a living so I decided on burlesque and Grand Guignol”
[11:12] Pip Zarad: “Ah, I see.”
[11:13] Pip Zarad pulls out his pen and paper. “And have you been successful thus far?”
[11:13] Julianna Wilde: “but for the grand re-opening there will be some wonderful additions to that”
[11:13] Julianna Wilde: “oh yes considering the fire and this is our first few days back open we have been very busy”
[11:13] Pip Zarad: “Tell me all about the new additions, but first, explain the fire situation to me.”
[11:15] Julianna Wilde: “umm well I wish I knew where to begin, the show was going well, we had almost a full house, it was very exciting, I had just left the stage to change from my striptease to teh Grand Guignol costume when the smell of burning filtered through the air, it seems now a fire had been set on the roof”
[11:16] Pip Zarad frowns, remembering his own recent experience with a fire.
[11:18] Julianna Wilde: “so my wonderful host for the evening, Mas, cleared the building and I am lucky to say no one was really hurt and only the roof and upper floors have been damaged which are now fixed and redcorated”
[11:18] Pip Zarad: “You are very lucky then.”
[11:19] Pip Zarad: “Any leads on the cause?”
[11:21] Julianna Wilde: “Mas had a few burns and I tripped and bumped my head but the amusing thing was, if we can see the funny side is that I was in my betrayed bride outfit and coved in stage blood so it looked much worse than it was and as for Mas he seemed not to mind a few singes at all, I am trying to remember the wonderful man who carried me out, I forget his name, the father of Noko. Oh yes Pip I have a lead on the firestarter”
[11:22] Pip Zarad: “Do ya now? Please explain.”
[11:22] Dasha Vondraczech sighs wondering why anyone would want to cause damage to a place that brings joy to others.
[11:25] Julianna Wilde: “well on the evening I was a little upset and confused as you can imagine, after all the expense and hard work by everyone involved so I had blurred some of it out, but having meditated on the subject I now recall a woman wearing a pink dress tell me she had seen a flying creature painting tar on the building and dropping a torch, the name she gave me was Emerald Melbourne”
[11:26] Julianna Wilde: “I am still trying to remember the name of the witness”
[11:26] Julianna Wilde: “but I do not think we were introduced”
[11:26] Pip Zarad jots down the name and then returns to his main body of notes with vigorous scratchings.
[11:26] Pip Zarad: “If you find out, please let me know.”
[11:27] Julianna Wilde: “Aye I will indeed. Pip, do you think the two fires are connected?”
[11:30] Pip Zarad: “It’s hard to say. Very well could be. “I’ll let you know if I find anything. I have a personal interest in this villian, obviously.”
[11:32] Pip Zarad: “And what now, then, as your establishment rises from the ashes so to speak? Any pheonix-like additions to the place?”
[11:33] Julianna Wilde: “give me a moment to meditate on it Pip i have a feeling something is coming back to me, *chuckles* oh yes but that is a secret for now.”
She would not tell me more of her secret, but I have no doubt it is something grand, coming from such the imaginative mind of an actress. Who knows what other things will be offered after that first cup of tea. Perhaps I will try a sip or two and find out.

A New Sight to see in the City Square

Near the Ten Bells, while walking down the street, what should I see before me…..*rubbing my eyes to make sure it is not an illusion*. A huge carousel stands right in the middle of the streets. I asked a man nearby if he knew anything about it but he just disappeared. Walking around I met another lady, who seemed nice enough as well as another gentleman, both seemed to know only that it was not here yesterday. As for the questions I asked regarding the fires and other things, well anyone that was close by left without saying anything.
A few days later…..the carousel seems to have vanished.

Story time at the tavern
A wonderful evening of guresome, horrific tales read by Morgdah quiet a crowd to the tavern. As she read “The juniper tree”, “The Goose Maid”,” The Crows” and” The Death of the Little Red Hen” by grims fairytales, a captivated audience asked for more and more. When asked if she would be willing to read again or make this a regular event, her answer was “possibly”. The crowd cheered and clapped and expressed their wishes to hear her read again soon.

Musings of a muse:
—Lovett’s Meat Pies—-
by free lance writer Sinnurna Cooperstone

*feeling my stomach growl and the sudden sucking in my gut, I looked down* “alright, alright already..ghesh. I know your hungry!” *I exclaimed as I strolled thru town accidently bumping into a passing patron and counting his change* “Hmmm..not to shabby, a few coins” *the pouch felt light but heavy enough for her uses* “I think this calls for a world renown, best in bread, meat pie!!” *my stomach answering back in a neko like voice, as I travel over to Lovetts pie shop*
(Its a quaint little place across from the hospital. Cannnnnt miss it.)
*The door opened to my touch with a little clamor, and instinct took over..yes little mouse 9 o’clock..appetizer..num, num! licking her finger off daintly as the tail disspeard down her throat causing a tickle like no other*
“MMMmmm.. I love this place already..ohhhh lookie lookie..” *Lowering my face to sniff the various topped pies and taking a seat tucking a bib in rapidly and another laying across my lap*
(yes soo..I’m a messy eater, sue me! But a woman has to do what a woman as to do..in this case..its EAT!!)
(SOo..what was I talking about? ohhh ..*glances around* Supper!)
Soon after the owner came over offering some of their best, with a little mug of ale.. *blowing the dust in a poof from the top of the pie I dug strait in, after coughing a bit..well maybe it was’nt dust..could have been sugar?* *I shrugged, softly as my mouth watered at the first bite, little gristly, definally dripping with fat. Slosh that down with some Ale, wash rinse and repeat..”MY KIND OF MEAL!”
I left a few coins on the table and tip toed out, “honestly I did leave coins! Damn mice probally stole off with them..”
“All in all I give it two paws up!. Very cozy, quite romantic, “the mice where great, the pie was better!” It was a bit distracting at times, as I would occasionally hear a gurgling sound, someone must have been brushing their teeth and dropped the water basin cause I heard some soft sliding noise and a clammer, but at times like when your hungry who cares right?”

London According to Pip
“Fountain of Youth”
It never ceases to amaze me what and who I come in contact with in our fair city. Picture, if you will, a man aged beyond natural looks, gray and pastey … almost eaten away of outward vitality. With him is a woman, black as midnight, who drinks like a sailor. Her past seems shrouded in mystery, as though they are both hiding something. The man, a doctor, is more of a scientist as I see it. The man as devoted his entire life to the longevity of mankind. I asked for an interview which I will now include.
[16:50] Cliff Connaught smiles “I’m not sure that my story will be all that fascinating. As a boy, I was very drawn to the idea that life was too short. I became nearlly obsessed with it, you might say, and so I have dedicated my life to discovering ways in which it might be extended. In the couse of this, I have developed many treatments which not only extend life, but almost as a byproduct make the living of it more pleasant”
[16:51] Magdalenamarie Connaught listens to her husband speak and rubs her shoulder with her free hand
[16:52] Cliff Connaught: “you, see, most of what we think of as the aging process is a result of the constant erosion of our natural life-forces by the stresses and ill-feelings we collect in everyday life.”
[16:53] Cliff Connaught: I have devoped treatments which particularly address the erosion of the curative faculties of the nervous system, particularly the pineal gland, or ‘third eye’ as it is called. A healthy pineal will make a healthier person, I have found.
[16:58] Pip Zarad: “And what brought the two of you here to London?”
[16:59] Cliff Connaught: “Homesickness, you might say. Though I was born in Ireland, I have always thought of London as my home. It’s been far too many years that I’ve been away, and I thought it time to return and renew my acquaintance with the old girl.”
[17:09] Pip Zarad: “So do you have high hopes here? Tell me about the run in you had with the angry husband.”
[17:11] Cliff Connaught: “I hope to be able to be of service, to provide some relief to those who suffer in the city. And, for myself, to renew my acquaintance with my home, to feed on her bounty, you might say, and in doing so renew myself as well.”
He was not able to give me a demonstration of the process, but did show pictures of before and after which I will include for you all. It is … amazing, to say the least. A feat of medical ability beyond my understanding. It appears that the altered state is dependent on continued treatment.
?
?
But what is the price of eternal youth? You need only ask a vampire to understand to ageless monotony of long life. Without knowing what is involved in the process, I would only hazard a guess that with great feats such as these which attempt to counter the natural course of life, a price of equal value is wagered.

FIRE AT THE LONDON LEGACIES GAZETTE PAPER OFFICE
by Nisha Rayna
Due to the Fire Friday evening, some of the copy was lost, we are looking to see which articles and ads are missing and they will appear next issue.
Who would want to burn down the local newspaper, that seems to be the question everyone is asking this week.
Late Friday evening as Pip, Nis, and Naya sat in the office talking of possible leads for articles in the latest edition of the London Legaces Gazette, an unknown person set the door to the building aflame. Those present say they heard a noise near the door and the area smelled strongly of lamp oil. Upon opening the only door to the building, flames leapt up and in. Pip tried his best to beat out the flames with his jacket while the ladies stayed near the window next to Nis’s desk, a possible escape route should the fire not get extinguished.
Bungo then appeared outside on the street, on the other side of the door, and took the flames into his lungs leaving only the smoke and damage to contend with.
The blaze damaged 36 percent of the building, leaving the structure intact but the interior extremely damaged, and all equipment destroyed. Work crews will start to work immediately replacing the door and windows and the interior that sustained damage during the blaze.
REWARD!!!!! 5000 coins: For information leading to capture of arsonist, who started the fire at the paper the night of April 3, 1891.

London According to Pip
“Chasms and Schisms”
As I intimated at the outset of these articles, this humble column was conjured with the simple vision of bringing a little cohesiveness to the diverse body of characters who are living, breathing, and grasping for their niche in this complex cosmopolitan world we call London. I have a piece of mind to share with you on this subject that has broken my peace of mind. Now, lest I revert to my preaching days under the aged tutelage of the long-winded Father Maple, let me take a deep, cleansing breath and try to expel my intense emotion and be as objective as I can.
As you may know, a mysterious and callous force decided to set fire to the newspaper office, causing a good bit of damage. (Please, if you don’t like the way we’re running the paper, you can always talk to us about it before feeling some incendiary desire to burn us to the ground. We really are quite reasonable.) Who and what was salvaged from this very unreasonable display of destruction, you might say, depended greatly on those willing to accept an active, positive role in the situation. Unfortunately, bystanders remained bystanders, apparently due to previous fears, grievances, and pride. The fact is, the gazes of passive onlookers, unconcerned for the common good of London and the lives of its people, are burned into my memory more deeply then the physical flames in my flesh.
It was not long after this experience that I witnessed another example of a trying circumstance made more difficult by personal hostilities. Miss Nee sought help of Nis and Kyra to be rid of the demon inhabiting her, and after not a little violence, the demon left Nee and entered Nis. I took it upon myself, at this point, to find Bungo and Vog to attend to their mates. How was I supposed to know that even under these desperate circumstances, fear and hatred would arise among the group? Even Dr. Neko, attending to the grievous wounds of Kyra and Nee, was distracted by the presence of Vog because of her knowledge of his previous actions. And I as well, my hand poised above the gaping, bloody chest of Kyra, found hostile musings filling my brain. It was at that point I realized the power we all have; the desire to work evil toward those we have learned to hate (even if for good reason) and the ability to hold back that malice in forgiveness. And so my hands rested there, as if an analogy of every person in London, hovering between grace and judgment.

“On to the Theatre”
I have only recently discovered that there is a theater of sorts on the south side of town. Not long after, I found that it has come under the management of my very own adopted family, the Toreador. It is called Theatre De Back Alley and it appears we are in need of eager persons. Eager for what, it is hard to say, though my imagination runs wild through the options. I do know, after talking to Dy NIghtfire, that activities will include, but not be limited to, a tarot card booth, beautiful dancing, a full bar, bath house complete with full body massage parlor, female … company, and very . . . unique, live shows. It is an expansive place of two stories with room for dancing, music, and even an elaborate fountain in which I must admit taking a dip with a lovely woman. If you venture a visit, I would evaluate the teeth of whomever you go with. It is a prime place for relaxing, enjoying a show, and draining the blood of your date. To find out more, I suggest visiting the openning this Thursday night at 5slt. Should be an interesting time.
