Schizophrenia

She awakes from her coffin and stretches, rubbing her eyes she gets up and puts on her leathers. She decide today seems to be a good day to go hunting. Sneaking past her sleeping daughter she heads quietly up the stairs to Borris. ” please keep an eye out for Kiku…I am going hunting.” Borris lets out a sigh and mumbles ” take care of bones..watch kiku..tend the cafe…you know i am only one little phantom, i can only do so much” giving a bow ” but of course I will” Mandy giggles ” one day i shall see that you get a day off” with that she heads out the door.

After a long walk she ends up in the forest. It is darker than usual on this day which is pleasing to her. She smiles as she notices a deer standing about 100 yrds from her. She thinks to herself ” perhaps a deer and a dog together…or maybe a cow.” She takes of quickly with vampiric speed to attack the deer but out of what seemed like nowhere she was pummeled by a giant white wolf. Mandy lets out a shriek of surprise as she lies underneath the large beast ” where the hell did you come from” she grumbles as she shifts to grab her thigh dagger. The wolf stand over her mockingly, let out a low guttural growl as a string of salvia drips from his maw to her cheek. He goes to lunge for her throat, but luckily Mandy already had the dagger prepared for his attack and plunges it deep within his gut. The wolf let out the loudest howl she had ever heard as he fell from over her. Unknown to Mandy at this time the howl was heard by a very powerful witch who takes off from her decrepit little cottage to find her beloved white wolf.

Before Mandy can even get to her feet the witch appears before her screaming in a scratchy voice “ what have you done to my son!!!??” Tears stream down the witches face as she glares down at Mandy. Mandy sighs and looks up to the woman a bit of a frighten look on her face “ well he attacked me first..don’t blame me..I was simply defending myself.” The old wrinkly witch screams at her as she lunges ontop of mandy knocking her to the ground. Mandy is helpless against the wretched woman, her strength beyond any that she had encountered before. The woman lays a hand on Mandy’s head causing her to black out..from what she has no clue.

While Mandy lays helpless the witch digs deep into her mind…digging to find the things she is afraid of. After a few minutes she finds what she is looking for. The woman lets out a loud cackle “ this shall do just fine” The woman brings the image to the front of Mandy’s mind and leaves it there. Then she gets up and picks up the white wolfs body and heads of deep into the forest.

Hours later she awakes. Everything a bit hazy. She sees a shadow coming closer. She inches back on her hands and knees scared to death that it was the woman again. The shadow soon turned into a man..a familiar man…one she new…Mandy screamed at him “ go away..how did you find me? Leave me be” Before even she knew it herself she was up on her feet and running as quick as lightening home, to where she felt safe.
