General Information (SL TOS Compliant Sims)

• All players must attend the Legacies Orientation session in order to obtain Citizenship to start RPing in Legacies.

• The Orientation session is an automated system, located in the Help Station, through the Green door at the Legacies Hub.

• The “game zone” is considered to be in the following areas:

• 0m to 500m: This is the main “In Character” Role Play area. Challenge rules apply.
• 500m to 1000m: This is also “In Character” but for Combat. No Challenge Rules apply here.
• 1000m and above is considered OOC only.
• Going above 2000m is not allowed.

• The Legacies Realm comprises of the following “sims” or “regions”:

• Isle of Legacies
• Beyond Darkness
• Vamporium
• Asphodel Meadows
• Torn Oak

• Senior Players (SP) handle home rental information.  You MUST be an active RPer and Citizen in Legacies to rent here.

• There is no AFK rule here. You may AFK to your hearts content. Even with an active meter.

• We do not acknowledge “roleplay limits”.  All acts of a sexual or questionable nature MUST be consensual (TOS Compliant).  It is YOUR responsibility to gain and record consent.

• Player’s Second Life accounts MUST be at least 14 days old before RPing in Legacies.

• You are free to use any legal viewer to access the Legacies Realm. As long as you have a Linden Labs approved viewer (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers#Third-party_Viewers), you are free to use it. However, in Legacies we strive to be as lag free as possible, and we don’t take kindly to items that are script heavy and/or illegal. We do monitor scripts and will contact you directly if your scripts are excessive to the point where it may affect players’ enjoyment of the sim. Legacies has a free approved radar available at the hub. If you are unsure about your viewer, then contact a Senior Player.

• There are two groups REQUIRED to RP here: “Isle of Legacies-Residents” and “Isle of Legacies-OOC“.  In Character and Out of Character groups respectively

Rules

1. NO OOC DRAMA.

2. Do not violate SL ToS (Terms of Service and Community Standards)

• No children, or child-like avatars. (Height is not the sole determination, SP’s err on the side of caution)
• No persons under the age of 18.
• Respect all players OOCly, whether or not you like ICly.

3. RP area is 1000m and below, however, there is no “Challenge Rule” above 500m”

4. You must abide by the era presented both in general technology and clothing appearances. The year is 1891, Victorian England. All “time travelling” must be in reverse.  Once you enter Legacies to conduct your RPs, you are unable to travel forward in time. (hence, no Automatic weapons for example)

5. No OOC of any sort in public local chat below 1000 meters.

• OOC should be done in IMs.
• No use of “(( ))”, “LOL”, “BRB”, party gestures (gestures in general, usually).
• The only OOC allowed is (OOB) meaning Out of Body. (OOB) = approx. ten minute break

6. All home security, below 1000 meters, must be defeatable via dice roll or LaRPs

7. Godmodding & Metagaming will not be tolerated.
